The town of Newmarket offers a wide range of services and
activities. The Lamprey River which winds its way through downtown, once powered the
textile manufacturing plants housed in the old mills. These brick and granite mills today
have been renovated into residential units and office space. The boat launch area downtown
offers a scenic access to the river that converges on Great Bay, a delight to boaters and
those who enjoy fishing. Back on the Main Street of New market, there are many coffee
shops and restaurants as well as other specialty stores. The heart of Newmarket is defined
by the people of the community. It is a town that works together to provide excellent
services as well as entertaining diversions for its residents.

Newmarket is centrally located providing easy
access to major routes. |
